Welcome to the European Textile Collectivities Association
ACTE, European Textile Collectivities Association, was founded in Portugal, in 1991, by six municipalities and is currently one of the first associations of local authorities at European level. The founding aim of ACTE is to represent and defend the interests of territorial collectivities and adherent organisations that represent territories with a presence of the textile, clothing, leather, footwear and fashion accessories sectors.

	ACTE participates in European Summit of Local Governments On 24 February, the City of Igualada and ACTE will organise the workshop "Future strategies in the European textile cities" in the framework of the European Summit of Local Governments.
	Conference on sustainable public procurement in Terrassa The City of Terrassa / Foment de Terrassa organised on 11 November the conference "The thread of sustainability. Public Procurement, tendencies and new business opportunitites.
	ACTE participates in local event of Open Days in Barcelona President Teo Romero represented ACTE in the event "The participation of local governments in European networks - the added value for territories", organised by the Diputación de Barcelona on 27 October 2009.
	Badalona Moda highlights benefits of CSR for textile-fashion businesses The City of Badalona / Reactivació Badalona, ACTE and the Gremi de Indústries de Confecció de Barcelona organised on 9 and 10 July the first edition of Badalona Moda.
