
ACTE, European Textile Collectivities Association,
was founded in Portugal, in 1991, by six municipalities and is currently
one of the first associations of local authorities at European level. The
founding aim of ACTE is to represent and defend the interests of territorial
collectivities and adherent organisations that represent territories with
a presence of the textile, clothing, leather, footwear and fashion accessories
sectors.

ACTE celebrates in Lille the fisrt Executive Committee of the new mandate
Last Friday 14th October was held in Lille (France) the first ACTE Executive Committee of the new mandate of the European network, that begun after the General Assembly that took place last April in Santa Margarida de Montbui (Barcelona). |

The 1st International Contest dedicated to the Innovative Textiles and the Design: FUTUROTEXTILES AWARDS 2012 The European Centre of Innovative Textiles (CETI) has launched, on October 2011, the Futurotextiles Awards 2012. The Contest is aimed at supporting the textile innovation. It is an initiative of CETI - an emblematic project of the Competitiveness Pole Up-Tex supported by Lille Métropole, Président of ACTE - and Lille design, in collaboration with Lille 3000 and FUTEX. |

3rd edition of BADALONA MODA: “Joaquim Mercader Competition for young designers” Last 10th November took place in Badalona International Business Centre-BCIN the 3rd edition of BDN Moda. This event is organised by Reactivació Badalona, the City Council of Badalona and ACTE, with the aim to promote young designers in the beginning of their professional careers. |
