Welcome to the European Textile Collectivities Association
ACTE, European Textile Collectivities Association, was founded in Portugal, in 1991, by six municipalities and is currently one of the first associations of local authorities at European level. The founding aim of ACTE is to represent and defend the interests of territorial collectivities and adherent organisations that represent territories with a presence of the textile, clothing, leather, footwear and fashion accessories sectors.

	Badalona Moda will take place on 9 and 10 July The City of Badalona / Reactivació Badalona, ACTE and the Gremi de Indústries de Confecció de Barcelona will organise the two-days event Badalona Moda on 9 and 10 July.
	Conference on innovation of the footwear sector in Macerata On 28 March, ACTE, in cooperation with the Province of Macerata, organised the international conference "Crisis and innovation: a possible pairing? Good practices and perspectives of the footwear sector in Italy and Europe" in Macerata, Italy.
	ACTE President participates in EESC hearing on financial crisis and industrial change On 6 February 2009, the Consultative Commission on Industrial Change (CCMI) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organised in Brussels a hearing on "The global financial crisis and industrial changes in the main European manufacturing and services sectors".
	EESC President joins Petition Fashion and Health ACTE President and Executive Secretary, Teo Romero and Fabio Giovagnoli, and ETUF:TCL General Secretary Patrick Itschert met in Brussels EESC President Mario Sepi and representatives of DG Health and Consumers and Enterprise and Industry to present the Petition.
