ACTE participates in Euro-Med conference in Istanbul
The aim of the conference was to discuss initiatives at EU, national and regional level that facilitate the textile and clothing industry in the Euro-Mediterranean region to adjust to structural changes and mitigate socio-economic impacts of restructuring. Jerzy Kropiwnicki presented support tools, ACTE has helped to promote and develop in our territories over the last years: strategic planning processes, strategic change in companies and worker relocation and diversification.
Furthermore, the presence in Istanbul was also used for a meeting of an ACTE delegation, headed by Executive Secretary Fabio Giovagnoli, with the Deputy Mayor of Istanbul, Ahmet Selâmet, and the Director of the EU Relations Directorate, Yasar Karaca, to present them ACTE and to express our interest in enlarging our network towards local and regional authorities in Turkey.
