EUROTEX
ID [2008-2010] The main aim of the Eurotex ID project was to set up an initial interdisciplinary activity designed to rediscover and enhance the European textile industry of the 19th and 20th century. A selection study and cataloguing of textile samples was made, using textile archives from textile museums, to transform them in a digital database (Eurotex ID database). |

TWINTEX Museums – Twinning
textile museums [2007] The project discussed about policies and tools to promote the urban transformation of textile cities, the role of textile museums as drivers of change at local level, and the connections between textile museums, businesses and technological innovation. The project also raised issues such as the valorisation and the defence of the industrial heritage, the archives of businesses and textile museums, and innovation and knowledge economy. |

INCLUA
–Working together for the inclusion of immigrants [2006] The different phenomena of immigration and policies of development cooperation were at the heart of the Inclua project. Project partners exchanged best practices of local policies in the field of social and labour integration of immigrants and exit strategies to raise awareness of citizens. |

Local Strategic
Textile Plans [2005] Carried out by ACTE and the Consejo Intertextil Español in 9 Spanish territories with a strong presence of the textile and clothing sector, the project had a double approach: territorial and sectoral. It aimed at providing a tool for the development of an active industrial policy through the creation of intervention strategies for the enterprises belonging to the textile and clothing industry in each of the nine territories. |

AC_T_E
– Territorial Action for Employment [2001] The overall objective of the AC_T_E (Territorial Action for Employment) project was to apply the European Employment Strategy at local level to improve the levels of business activity and employment of its partner cities through the participation of agents involved in the local socio-economic development. |

DESCUBRE
[1998-1999] The DESCUBRE project aimed at enhancing the working conditions of handicapped people (disabled and mentally handicapped people) through the coordination of training and employment services and awareness raising activities and collaboration with businesses and social partners. |

EUROINFOR
[1998] To inform European scholars about the principles, objectives and implications of the Amsterdam Treaty and to raise their awareness of the process of European construction: these were the general objectives of the EUROINFOR project submitted by ACTE members from Spain, France and Portugal. |

AdapTex
[1995-1998] Submitted under the Community Programme ADAPT, the AdapTex project addressed both active and laid-off textile workers. The project had a comprehensive approach as it embraced a wide range of issues, such as business services, policies to promote self-employment, consulting and relocating services to workers made redundant, training, diversification towards new economic activities, etc. |

ReTex The objective of the RETEX initiative was to promote diversification of activities in regions that are over-dependent on the textile and clothing industry. It was aimed at encouraging the adaptation of viable enterprises from all the industrial sectors in these areas. This Community initiative gave an important role to local and regional authorities as one of the beneficiaries of the programme. Thus ACTE members submitted a number of projects. |
