ACTE. 20 Years of Innovation [2011]
This book, published on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of ACTE, shows how the network and its members worked and are working to anticipate and manage successfully the structural changes of the textiles and fashion industry, through a set of performances based on the cooperation between territories and their socio-economic players, that act within the ACTE network so that Europe continues to make the most of its industrial DNA.

Publication

Eurotex ID. A multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance the European Textile Identity [2010]
From November 2008 to 2010, seven partners from Italy, Spain, Portugal and the UK worked together to analyze their production systems and textile heritage, to enable a group of young designers to use this heritage as a source of inspiration. The project, emerged from the Twintex Museums project promoted by ACTE and its members, is an excellent example of a successful linkage between the industrial heritage and the development of innovative designs and products. The aim of this publication is to offer a brief overview of the work completed by the Eurotex ID project.

Good Practice Guide "Strategic reorientation of textile-fashion companies" [2009]
This publication summarizes 31 cases of good practices of textile-fashion companies in Catalonia, which had overcome the crisis through the incorporation of innovation. The processes of change described in this good practice guide, cover a wide range of innovation factors such as improved organisation, product innovation, expansion into new market sectors, marketing improvements or innovative environmental policies. This compilation was one of the main results of the project “ACTE: a network for innovation", carried out by several members of ACTE Spain throughout 2009.

Publication Strategic Management Guide for textile SMEs [2007]
Divided into a theoretical and practical part, this Guide is a useful tool for SMEs of the textile and clothing sector. The use of the strategic planning methodology can be a decisive instrument to reach comparative advantage and to re-orientate business activities in order to compete in the global market. The editing of this guide was one of the recommendations of the Spanish project Local Strategic Textile Plan.

Publication Local Strategic Textile Plans [2005]
In 2005, the project Local Strategic Textile Plans was carried out by ACTE and the Consejo Intertextil Español in 9 Spanish territories with a strong presence of the textile and clothing sector. Co-financed by the Spanish Industry, Tourism and Trade Ministry in the framework of the PROFIT-TEXTIL (Programme for the promotion of technical research for the textile and clothing sector) call for proposals, the project concluded with the publication of 3 documents:

Publication Project AC_T_E: Territorial Action for Employment [2003]
The book contains the main results of the Territorial Action for Employment project (AC_T_E) led by ACTE. The project aimed at implementing the European Employment Strategy with the intention of improving the levels of employment and economic activity in partner cities, through the participation of all local agencies involved in socio-economic development. The book includes the experiences in the development and implementation of Local Employment Action Plans (LAPs) of local authorities from Spain, Italy and Belgium.

Released in the framework of the Adaptex project, this study analyses the economic and organisational (sub-sectors, products, businesses, employment, market) and social aspects of the textile and clothing sector located in territories in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Greece and Great Britain.

Publication Training, employment and competitiveness in the European textile and clothing industry: the role of local authorities [1994]
The publication contains the contributions made by European local authorities, industry and trade union representatives during an ACTE conference held in November 1994 in Terrassa, Spain. The document is divided into two parts: The first part deals with issues related to competitiveness and industrial and social policy in Europe. The second part includes best practices examples from local authorities in the field of diversification and research and business services.
